Final flourish

The countryside has changed dramatically in the past week.  Nearly all the trees have lost their leaves but this roadway was lit so beautifully I had to stop and take a photo.  There are some beautiful beech still glowing in the sun and some larch adding soft punctuation to the afternoon glow.. but mostly the trees are bare.  
I had three people booked in today to do jobs and for some reason they all arrived at the same time.. it made me laugh as we waltzed around eachother and reminded me of the wonderful episode of To the Manor Born when Marjory (Penelope Keith) arranges a whole day of workmen just for their company..
