I woke early and actually felt like going for a swim to start the day ... but then the joiner rang to say he was coming between 9am and 10am, bang went that idea. It took him a long time to sort the door out so that was the morning gone but at least I can now get in and out of the house more easily.

Collected my new trial contact lenses ... unfortunately we'll have to go back to the drawing board. 

Managed to get out mid afternoon to do a recce for tomorrow's parish walk, although by the time I finished the light was certainly fading quickly. Thankfully it all went smoothly, except the pub I intended using has closed. I've managed to book us in at another local though, just a short drive from the walk.
