Abandoned

Raking up leaves in the back garden this afternoon I came face-to-face with this beautifully made, but long abandoned, nest in the back hedge. In the spring I usually put out some excess fur from the spaniel's coat for the birds to use. It always disappears very quickly. Looks like this nest has been lined with some of it.
