On the moor

What a contrast to yesterday, which was a really dreich day.  We woke to bright sunshine, sadly we woke rather late as the HG did not sleep well and so we eventually overslept.

We had planned a walk near Peebles in the Scottish Borders, but decided that we were a bit late to travel so far.  So we headed up to the moor, and had a lovely walk in bright sunshine.  The views down to the city were fantastic, we could even see the big pink 'People Make Glasgow' sign from the moor.  But I didn't succeed to photograph this well.

Walking back we noticed this little ancient bridge, probably the first bridge ever to cross this burn, and I rather liked the picture.

We stopped at the golf club for a little late lunch, first time we had been there and we got a nice welcome and nice food.

Now to make our steak dinner.....
