Down the Smoke

Travelled by coach this morning, leaving Gloucester at 10:15, due in at Victoria coach station, London, 13:30.
We arrived at 14:30 thanks to a short stretch of the M4 motorway being reduced from 3 to 1 lane. Caused absolutely miles of a traffic queue.
Staying at the Union Jack Club, an hotel for serving and veteran military personnel. It's located opposite Waterloo rail & underground station, which is in the bottom right of the picture.
I walked a short distance to Lower Marsh Street where there is a good variety of food and drink places, a very interesting one, which was very lively, specialised in Cuban cuisine and liquor. Too busy for me so I ate at an excellent place called Balance.
I then took the tube to Westminster, changed to the Jubilee line to Kensington High Street to meet some of my RBL Riders friends. Got there just in time to catch them leaving to get to the Royal Albert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance, this year it is also commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Royal British Legion.
