River of Flowers

Saturday: Mahonia Flowers with Bee

Weather ok, no wind, light showers and mild.
The flowers on the Mahonia are slowly opening, some of the birds have been landing and having a look. I saw a huge bumblebee flying around but it had gone by the time I walked up the steps. This small bee was enjoying foraging in the flowers, maybe a Carder?
Collected salad leaves for lunch, like yesterday and added some pea shoots.
Today's compote had home grown Bramley cooking apples, red gooseberries, blackcurrants and foraged blackberries - everything local and organic! Also very tasty, even if I say so myself :-))
Transplanted Rainbow Chard into a large pot, in the greenhouse for now and hopefully salad leaves during the winter.
Enjoy your Saturday night x
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
