Remembering those from Longparish who died in WW1

Today we went to the Remembrance  service in the village of Longparish in Hampshire. ( quite near where our son lives) First there was the traditional gathering and start of the service by the War memorial . Interesting that the names are engraved by year starting with 1914. A lot of men died for such a small village. It looks at though the memorial has recently been cleaned and the lettering redone which is nice.
In the parish church there is a really nice stained glass window in memory of a pilot killed in the war and the vicar made reference to this is his sermon.
