and through the wire...

When Ms H moved into her last flat for her 2nd and 3rd uni years, she lived on the 2nd floor so it was a massive effort to take her stuff up, with several doors, and take it all down, and we did that twice. Her new flat is on the ground floor so what a relief. I got time to go in to see her this afternoon and it is nicer than her last (which was fine). We switched her bed around to give more space, I think she is happy with her new home and hew new flatmate.

Since we were in town, we thought we'd give Arlo a taste of the metropolis, which he has never experienced. He can be an anxious boy around cars, bikes and stangers so we did a full lap of the meadows, crossing roads, cars, bikes, joggers, ambulances, crowds of people with enough space to keep a distance or get closer, he only got upset twice as some bikes got a bit close. It may seem such a minor thing, but for him it isn't and I guess unexpected given we live in the middle of nowhere. We were really happy with how he was, and the location which allows him to get used to it all at his own pace so hope to do it regularly.
