57 Years and Counting

Today is our 57th wedding anniversary. It turned out to be a very sunny, warm day like we have been waiting for!! We took a drive north, up the coast. When getting ready to cross a bridge out of Reedsport we were stopped to allow a fishing boat to go by. You can see the boat coming from the west, then on the other side to the east. We went on up to Florence and ate at a wonderful little restaurant in Old Town. It is run by a lady from England and her husband. The food was delicious and the couple were charming. When we said we had never been to their restaurant, they proceeded to bring out a plate with three small bowls with the different kinds of soup to choose from. We chose the salmon bisque to go with the main dish. Very good. It was very English with tea pots all around and choices of different teas. They visited with us and made us feel very welcome. Then we kept going south past the Sea Lion Caves before turning around and heading back home. We stopped to look at the ocean and the lighthouse. A very calm ocean today. We stopped back in Florence for ice cream at BJ's. A tradition when we go to Florence. I even experimented with taking a picture of hubby and I together by holding the camera out. So, there you have it for our day. It was fun and relaxing.

Everyone have a wonderful Easter celebration tomorrow.
