Timber Bollard

OK - so there is some more rust here! Not fixated, honestly :-)

I was out early as there had been a ‘weather warning’ for thick fog this morning and I thought that  there may be a blip opportunity. Sadly the fog did not happen and it wasn’t even particularly misty.

I have walked past this bollard at the far end of the cycle path / bridleway so many times over the years that it barely registers - but today for some reason the rusting plate called out to me (hmmm  - wonder why?). However, a closer look revealed some beautiful lichen and nice texture/grain in the wood, so it has become my blip for today.
