View from Ullapool Hill

It's going to be an interesting and challenging week with the weather up in The Highlands! We have a few windows from the heavy rain, and today and tomorrow are the starters.

We opted for out traditional day after the long drive walk which was Ullapool Hill. The main image is taken from the top of said hill looking out over Loch Broom. The hills in the distance are Sail Mhor (left) and Beinn Ghoblach (right). Once we'd reached the top we continued on to the shore of Loch Achall (extra) where we stopped for a quick bite to eat before the return leg.

We had very reasonable warm(?) weather for most of the day. It only started to drizzle a bit as we walked back into Ullapool. It's much warmer than it should be for the time of year, so that may account for the promise of heavy rain later in the week (sigh!) I was hoping for snow which we had at this time in 2019.

It's good to be back, and I still don't mind watching the rain from such an amazing location.
