‘Architectural Nonsense?’

As you walk down Lothian Road towards the West End of Edinburgh’s Princes Street, as I did late this afternoon, you are confronted by this. 

Following development in the late 1970s, all that remains of the original National Bank of Scotland’s (now RBS’s) prettily detailed miniature palace, is its façade - now surrounded by a brown glazed curtain wall!

To me, it’s a bit of a mishmash - to say the least!
