The valley that time forgot

Today we drove through swirling mists to Capel-y-Ffin, a hamlet in the Black Mountains notable for its quaint little church and its associations with, amongst other people, William and Dorothy Wordsworth, Eric Gill, David Jones, Bruce Chatwin and Eric Ravillious.  The light lent itself to mono, so here's a shot of the carved date in the rear pew, with a photo of the church itself (yes, the tower really is at that angle!) and the congregation of teddy bears in the extras.
