Grand Designs

Kevin McCleod would have been mightily impressed with the progress made today!

First up, a back door… finally the house is secure!

Next, the plasterer came, utility room is now ready for painting and the fixing of boiler and underfloor heating manifold.

Dragan, the electrician, turned up to sort out a few outstanding bits and bobs in the kitchen.

Glenn and Edd continued with plaster boarding the main kitchen area.

The guy from HSS tool hire arrived at midday with the new heater, and after a saga started almost a week ago, we finally have a source of heat in the kitchen.

Then, the piece de resistance, the asphalt guys turned up. We got off to a shaky start when the machine went into overdrive and started spewing asphalt all over the road. Note to self, phone the council and charge them for doing what they should be doing!

Anyhow, the problem was swiftly sorted and the floor is now damp resistant. Woohoo. 

Not exactly a Grand Design but today was certainly a grand day. 

Might have a glass of plonk while watching tonight’s Grand Designs - House of the Year.
