Had an old friend visit today which was nice.

Watched a bit of True Grit - the original but got bored as it lacked the humour and acting skills of the remake. Sometimes remakes are worth the effort.

However I'm now watching Return Of The Jedi on bluray which is rediculous. The old scenes are fantastic in their lo-fi sticky back plastic glory however they are interspersed by hi-tech CGI which is totally out of place.

You could understand Disney doing it but not Lucasfilms. Lets hope Disney do it better with the new movies.
