Millennium Garden

Wednesday
Round to mum's mid morning, then we had a walk up the road to inspect the landslide at blue water. The road through from mum's estate to BoveyTracey has been closed since February last year and it's a long detour to get round to the town. Luckily you can still walk past it. It sounds like work on the replacement road will start early next year.
The process of replacing mum's windows is progressing slowly. Dining room window being done today. Mum cooked fish pie for us for lunch and we dined Al fresco to avoid the noise and dust.
After lunch we took a drive to Buckfastleigh. Mum needs a new TV and there is an electronics shop there which she has had excellent service from in the past. They are going to source a non-smart TV for her. After a wander through Buckfastleigh we went on to Buckfast abbey. The gardens are looking beautiful with all the autumn colours. Tea and cake in the cafe.
