Tai Tapu walk

I walked with my U3A group in Tai Tapu this morning. We started at the back of St Paul's church built in the 1930's. The weather vane caught our eye with the distinctive sailing ship design. We walked around some new housing areas then the edge of farmland hearing about the tough conditions endured by settlers. Our walk continued along the river and paused in a cafe for a drink. We later continued to a delightful library building (part of my collage) near our starting point. A lovely way to spend a morning.
