Getting ready

We went to a restaurant with friends for lunch where we overlooked the preparations for Sunday's Ironman. The pier will be completely adorned with flags and banners. The extras show the view from the other side of the pier of the gathering clouds, and the tents that have been erected. Hopefully the weather will be good and the sea as beautiful and calm for the swimmers as it was today.
It will be a different Ironman without the masses of spectators at the start and finish lines. Our village road will be closed all day so we can at least support the cyclists when they come through.
