Lady P.D. James

I felt very privileged to be able to hear and see P.D. James today, an event held by Quais du Polar, the annual book fair devoted to crime novels, thrillers, roman noir and the like.
It's becoming a very international event, with many conferences and interviews, and also games (playing detective!) thoughout the city. Not forgetting the bookshops, situated in a beautiful old building where I took last year's picture.

P.D. James was interviewed in the place that could hold the most people : a nearby church! It was full, we were about 450 fans ;-) I queued up for one hour outside in the cold, but it was definitely worth it.
She has a marvelous sense of humour, and looks very fresh despite being nearly 93 years old! When she left the building we saw that she has trouble walking, which makes her visit to France all the more precious.
