Susans two chickens are such characters, they like to be where the activity is ( hopeful for a few worms probably ). They regularly run towards us very excited at the prospect of a handful of oats or a scratch, they put themselves to bed before dusk and give an egg a day each. I think what I like most is the contented clucking as they peck and wander about.
Damp hack out around Cangort with Susan , everyone on good form despite the drizzle. Afternoon hot bath - very luxurious, before an evening visit from one of my homebirth couples with their 3 month old , who just was a delight and melted our hearts. Such a happy, giggly and contented baby, she and her dad have a great baby chat ‘thing ‘ going on. He’s an Olympic level weight trainer and she has him quite rightly wrapped around her finger !
