Started the weekend with a visit to a castle, what better way to finish it with another castle.

Took a walk out to Dundonald, a good 3 mile walk, to visit the castle, as I'd never been out to it. I've passed it many times on the bus through the years, it always looked a bit unkempt, but there is a visitor centre there now with a bit of history about the place.

There was a wedding reception at the bowling club and the happy couple were having their pics taken up at the castle. Lots of families about rolling eggs down the hill.

It was still a bit chilly up at the castle, but stunning views over the surrounding villages and a snow covered Arran, if a bit cloudy.

I'm thinking a trip back when the weather is warmer to get some better photos, got a few ideas today. The pics I got today aren't very good, but as a scouting visit it was productive.
