Hare Coursing...

Yesterday afternoon hare coursers trespassed on Michael and Chris' farm, driving their 4 x 4 across the new crop, and slipping their lurchers to run down a hare. This is an illegal activity in any form... These people come up from London and elsewhere and amazing amounts of money are involved in this so called sport... This activity is a problem everywhere in the countryside and the people involved in it have shown unbelievable levels of violence towards anyone trying to stop them. The police are unable to do very much about it which only adds to the frustration of farmers like Michael and Chris.

Chris had to change his plans for today and get the digger out trench round one of his fields to stop these vehicles getting onto the crop.
