Declutter

A slightly odd image for Easter, perhaps, but for arguments sake, you could chalk this one up as representing "new life" or what have you in a slightly more abstract way.

Essentially, chucking out a lot of old paperwork from mum's place so she can sell up -- been there for over thirty years, so plenty of detritus needs a new home. In this case, sentimental but space-consuming junk like old school reports, university application letters, old payslips, communications from the job centre and the tax man, that sort of thing. All clutter that I didn't actually need to keep but thought "might be handy" at some point. Wrong.

A weirdly autumnal task for a day which should mark a decisive Spring being sprung, but that's this year for you, I guess. Burning paper can be rather beautiful: blossoming and wilting like time lapse film of flowers blooming. I didn't really get any good shots from inside the brazier, though, being a bit on the hot side and all...
