Mellon Udrigle Beach

It was my choice for our outing today. And it's always going to be this beach. On the drive we stop above the shoreline to look for seals perched out on the rocks. We weren't disappointed. I've added a rather grainy shot in the extras.

There were very few people on the beach (as always), but it was wild and the waves were the highest I've ever seen on this shallow shore.

When the weather is dry and sunny there are stunning views of the mountains in the distance. We couldn't see all of them today.

And then lunch in the Bridge Cottage Cafe in Poolewe. We did feel for the owners as the environmental health inspector was there. That must have been quite stressful. I'm sure they wouldn't have had anything to worry about. It's a great cafe.
