Queen’s View, Tay Forest Park

Cold but bright November Sunday with a drive up to Perthshire.
Beautiful views across Loch Tummel from the Queen's View with the mountain of Schiehallion in the distance, (also in extra), with a little dusting of snow. According to the visitor guide leaflet, Queen Victoria visited in 1866 and thought the view was named for her but it was probably named long before that for Isabella of Mar who was the first wife of Robert the Bruce and said to have hidden in the woods in the 13th century.
