Somewhere over France

Today's the day .................... to overcome the odds

The day didn't get off to a very good start.

We arrived at Oxenholme station to find that there were no trains operating between there and Preston because of engineering works on the line. There were buses laid on instead - but not very many - and there would not be enough time to continue our journey to Liverpool Airport in time for our flight.

However - we were not going to let a little thing like that stop us getting to France and to cut a long story short - we did make our flight with time to spare. The flight was uneventful and we arrived safely in Grenoble head of time.

It's so lovely to be here and we have a full week ahead of us to enjoy ourselves. Ah la vie est belle ..................
