Christmas puddings

Stir-up Sunday got delayed by a day this year so the puddings and Christmas cake got made today after both lots of ingredients got left to soak overnight Monday. Here are the four puddings cooling after their 8 hours of steaming. One of the perks of making them is that you have some of the alcohol left over. For this recipe (one of Delia's) there's a couple of glasses of strong blond Belgian beer and then two more of stout left in their respective bottles. We enjoyed those very much but decided to leave the brandy for another day.
