Booster

After we dropped Sophie off at school we had our customary breakfast at Sainsbury’s then collected something we’d ordered for Sophie’s Christmas present.

This afternoon we had our COVID booster jab in the unlikely surroundings of the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford. The museum, founded by the man who created the Haynes’ car manuals, houses a vast range of classic cars and also has conference rooms which are being used for the vaccinations.

Once again the whole process was very efficient: we only had to wait a couple of minutes for our jabs, despite there being a steady stream of customers.

The museum also has a cafe so we stopped for a restorative hot chocolate and tiffin. We couldn’t go into the museum itself but these two Williams’ racing cars were in the foyer next to the cafe. The Formula 1 car in the foreground was driven by Gilles Villeneuve.
