Packhorse Hut

Lunching outside our much loved hut, built of local stone in 1916 as part of a series of rest houses on the route from Christchurch to Akaroa. It is now used as accommodation for overnight stays.  It was a hot climb up to the Kaituna Saddle, where the hut sits.
