A bit of a cold grey day but I have been hard at it: floors wiped of sooty/muddy size 9 boots, a spot of hoovering, pictures and rugs relaid after all the plumbing events; article for SPAB sent off; a lot of well work as you will know of course that it's not only St Catherine's Day but also St Fanahan's Day - both big in North Cork;  searched for flights from Bristol to Cork  for Will over Christmas (there are none and the flights from Heathrow are jaw droppingly expensive over Christmas - over £600!!!!; ); took the cat for a walk, she's still freaked out over the plumbers; and had a moment of inspiration with the next article for Skibbereen Historical Society.
We've just finished watching an extraordinary series, as the Guardian put is a gloriously dark sitcom about depression and rage  It stars Olivia Coleman and the wondrous Will Sharpe. Sitcom does not do it justice - it is very dark, off the wall but tackles some incredibly deep issues front on and with huge compassion. Recommended. Stick with it!
