When the Girl's Grammar School became a mixed comprehensive, after the first year, the older members of staff were offered early retirement pensions ! I took up the offer.
I was in the corridor when I saw a boy , coming from the workshop .I asked him if he had been practicing on the lathe and he showed me sometime like this object .I admitted it and asked him to make one for me.This he did at once, came to me and signed and dated it.I was really delighted.
