Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

We're here!

Storm #1` of 3 in a row came thru today (I know it’s November, but these systems aren’t “normal”) —we were braced for an adventure.  (  After the 7:00 AM video thing with Fiona’s covid test, which took 3 of them 1/2 hour, the instructions for packaging etc are so complex…heaven help anyone without computer skills…and then dropping it off at the pharmacy at 8:00, we all got to the ferry by 9:00.)   A bumpy ride across the straits of Georgia, but not bad…. and we totally lucked out at our marina and our dock…the wind was light!!   whew!  Just a LOT of rain falling…. BC is bracing for more flooding.  2 trips in the boat for all the stuff..Kirsten is a pack horse…she thrives on that exercise (thank goodness).  Plenty of time to dry out and be grateful for it all!!  but our big dinner will be tomorrow.   You gotta love this place,,,quiet. … smells good… not nearly the water here I thought we’d have….no mice caught and a wood fire to warm up.   All is well.
The blip is taken from the front porch of the cabin ..up 48 steps…we have a better view of the dock since we had to cut some of that willow.  I got out of too much shlepping....
Extra…”to grandmother’s house we go”over the water  by ferry and boat.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!
