Grey Heron

The young one was waiting on the grass for me again and walked over to meet me. I walked her a bit closer to the loch then started feeding her. I was about three quarters the way through when she lifted her head and stood very still.. I knew something was approaching as she is never wrong. I quickly gave her the rest of her feed. She had the last bit in her beak, when a collie came running round from the loch path. She took off let out a muffled call and flew to the wooded area of the lock.
The extra is the crow who nearly missed the boat but got a tiny  bit that was stuck to the lid - it is not looking happy though.
