Blowing in the Wind
Mrs CBL and I went out during one of the sunny breaks in the rain showers this morning and had a brisk walk.
This afternoon Storm Arwen arrived as forecast and its now blowing a hoolie*.
I took this photo of the oystercatchers, flanked by herring gulls, facing into the north-westerly wind. Liked their reflections on the wet sand.
*Hoolie derives from the Orkney Scots word hoolan meaning a storm force wind. In Ireland a hoolie is a party so it is much more fun to have one there!
