Already?

Christmas trees are on sale next to the tube station.
I visited Virginie in Fulham this morning. We had a good catch-up, and she gave me an early birthday present: an current exhibition catalogue from the Courtauld.
There was a partial tube strike today, roadworks, and rain, all of which meant a longer journey than normal. At one point the bus I was on took a diversion, announced after the bus had already left  the stop, so nobody could get off. The bus sped off  westwards for quite a distance, giving me a tour of parts of Fulham I used to drive through to the old Chelsea School of Art 30 years ago. Not much had changed, I’m glad to say.
