Olympic Stadium Berlin ( WSCD Day7)

On first coming to Berlin I lived very close to the stadium .The S-Bahn diidn't travel very far since Berlin was divided .The British had four schools and sports days were held in this wonderful stadium built for the 1936 Olympic Games.  The U.Bahn ( inset) was built for the 1913 Summer Olympics .When Germany hosted the world cup I had the time of my life enjoying the amazing atmosphere .Never will I forget riding my bike round to sit with many others listening to the cheering at the final .Laptops were used to view and TV sets were hooked to TV vans . It was so hot I went wearing a nightie :Italy won and France lost .Most of us wanted France to win .. Very happy days ...
