Baumkuchen/Tree Cake

Obviously not made from trees, that would be silly.  A very traditional kind of cake here and a personal favourite.  Its time left on earth is very short.

I had a heck of a day on the telephone.  There was something up with our work network and everything took an age to launch.  Not great for me as I wanted to telephone all the people who will be in my training course on Monday and walk them through setting the software up and then having a little trial run.  I managed to get through to and help 6 of the 8 people who will take part.  Those 6 will have it easy.  We'll see what happens with the other 2 on Monday.

Other than that, loads of houses have their Xmas decorations up.  The house next door has the teddy bear's head hanging on the door - always a festive sign (not for bears though).

I plan on doing nothing for the weekend.  Although I have a sneaking suspicion tomorrow may involve cooking.

Not a Baumkuchen though.  Way too involved.  Watch it pop up as a challenge on Bake-Off next year.
