Today's the day ...................... for a pre-dinner cocktail

We've been invited out for dinner tonight - which is absolutely lovely because we really like the person who has invited us and we feel sure that we're going to enjoy the evening.

Also, it's something that hasn't happened to us for quite a while - what with all the Covid restrictions etc - and it's a reminder of the way things used to be.  The difference now is that we both did a lateral flow test half an hour ago.  That way, we can at least be reasonably confident that we're not going to be introducing another unwelcome guest to the party.

It's the new 'normal'.  It's how things are likely to be for the foreseeable future so we'd just better get used to it ........................?!
