Flashlight And Roses

Horrible weather but a good day for baking. I've made my first batch of eight dozen mince pies. 

Bad day for photography. Very unusual for me to post a flower without a bug on it. This is a surreal take on one of the roses that I brought back from Ongar yesterday. It's on my sideboard in front of Carry Ackroyd's Landscape Change, John Clare and Me. I keep the book there because I love CA's prints on the dustjacket.
