I have to use this word a lot, meaning ‘surveillance’ or ‘oversight’ but used in the context of anti-poaching and ranger operations.

Here in Chimanimani, plans are afoot to upgrade this ranger post inside the Park, and use it as the centre of operations. The ranger accommodation and facilities need a major overhaul, and better connectivity needs to be put in to make the place effective. As we had the entourage of donors with us as we visited, it was timely to show them where their financing would be best used.

The view is certainly stunning from this spot.
