Aligned…

Pippa and the other scullers of the girls 18 field lining up for the start of the first heat of the “Hel van het Noorden”. Pippa is in the boat closest to where I took the photo. At this point all scullers have already rowed approximately 11 km and they are waiting for the start of 6 km long race. This was Pippa’s first race in a single scull and she was extremely nervous. That showed in the first 2 km of the race, but then she got into her stride and had quite a good 2nd half of the race. I was officially registered as Pippa’s coach, so was allowed to cycle along and support her (Covid restrictions). I am extremely proud of her!
