Shetland Landscape

A fellow blipper commented recently about the lack of trees in the background of most of my blips.

After 30 plus years in Shetland I have got used to it to the extent that here in the hills above Sandwick is one of my favourite places to walk. With the dry weather of late the ground was the driest I've seen it for this time of year ( I said the same two years ago and then it rained for a month). While the Terns and Skuas are a good few weeks from arriving there was enough going on with Black Grouse, Ravens, Skylarks, Greylag Geese and Golden Plover to be seen. Also large numbers of Hares still in winter coat to keep the dog interested.

Oh yes you may have noted that the sun shone all day again.

Go large.
