Naval Heritage

Today we drove down to the Royal William Victualling Yard. This was where the ships of the Royal Navy were once provisioned for what was often very long periods at sea. The yard covers a substantial area and is now a centre for the arts, business, leisure and some residential accommodation. I took this photograph of one of the more austere-looking corners of the yard.
