‘Edinburgh 15.29, Twenty Minutes to Sunset’

I liked the clear silhouette of the tree branches against the cloud (especially the bright streaks where the sun catches it) and the red sky as the sun was setting this afternoon. (To see the detail, best in large, I think.)

This morning, we woke up to a sprinkling of snow on the ground. Though it was only a sprinkling, and had gone by lunchtime, the next door neighbour’s kid was out at dawn, building a snowman! (Extra)

The days are short in Edinburgh at this time of year - the sun doesn’t rise until well after 8, and by mid December it’s really dark at 4 o’clock.

So one has to make the most of the day!
