The Glasshouse Hotel - rooftop garden

Sleet was forecast but we woke to snow!  I was at a morning yoga class in one of the suites on the rooftop garden of The Glasshouse Hotel.  It was all quite 'winter wonderland' up there between the garden and the stunning view of Calton Hill with a dusting of snow.

In the afternoon we went to the Cameo to see the exquisite 1953 Japanese film "Tokyo Story" directed by  Yasujiro Ozu.  Set in post war Japan it subtly looks at the relationship between an elderly couple and their adult children who have moved to Tokyo.  The most memorable line for me was "you can't give gratitude to a grave."
