Different World - The Pentlands

Here we are in full winter walking gear with the centre of Edinburgh a few miles behind us. On a crisp but sunny Easter Monday there will be people shopping on Princes Street or drinking coffee in a nice cafe, meanwhile we are wrapped up in our thermals and layers bracing against a minus something wind chill. Better to be prepared though for any changes in the weather, not sure if my survival blanket and glow in the night light would be used, but as seasoned munro baggers it's hard to go out without these potentially essential pieces of kit. Even when we could just walk back into Edinburgh! I should make more use of this wonderful wilderness snow and sun .... sigh.
