Scottish mussels for lunch

I've been photographing these guys and their brothers and sisters a lot recently. I'm holding the best ones back for a bit of extra work but these are still enticing. And tasty :-)

I have been listening to Nicola Sturgeon speaking about her future plans for Scotland. I love that she is making a weekly anti poverty payment to the under sixteens. I still worry that her calculations for a devolved   government don't factor in the loss of Barnet Formula, the Westminster bribe which makes the NHS free north of the border.
