Either way, this was the view from my bedroom window just before eight o'clock, this morning, with a suitably apocalyptic sky; driving to and from work today, I was struck by the amount of fallen trees, destroyed fences, and so on.

Mind you, the hills looked beautiful, cloaked in snow.
