Frozen Balls.

We had a very pleasant Easter morning walk to the bird sanctuary by the canal, passing the Grimsbury Reservoir on the way.
Despite some strong gusts of chilly wind, the buoys lay unmoving on the frozen water. A small motor boat zig-zagged back and forth across the reservoir, breaking the ice. We walked on, to the bird sanctuary beyond the water where dozens of crows could be heard. Aga found the body of a small barn owl laying on the cold ground, partly eaten by scavengers.
