The Monster

I found this jumping spider sitting on a leaf of the salvias.  I didn't think it was a jumper because it was HUGE, more the size of a house spider.   You will just have to believe me but it was around an inch in the old money.   Doing a quick internet search reveals it is possibly an Opisthoncus grassator Keyserling  and probably a male but Brisbane insects has it as Opisthoncus mordax.   I can see I am going to have to do more research.

More rain again now so just as well I snapped him earlier today.
